Inspection & Testing

When was your electrical installation last tested?

The recommendation is that every electrical installation should be periodically

inspected & tested and a report on it's condition obtained, known as an

Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)

A domestic installation should be tested no less than every 10 years.

For a rental or commercial property this is every 5 years.

Why have your electrics be tested, even if you’ve never had any problems?

All electrical installations deteriorate with age and use. They should therefore be inspected and tested at regular intervals to check whether they are in a satisfactory condition for continued use and deficiencies or deterioration of the installation observed.

Although you may have never experienced any problems, your electrics may contain a number of hidden dangers.

Just think of it as an MOT for your electrics!

Having worked for a company in the past specialising in Electrical

Testing, I have the experience and knowledge to produce a detailed report

on the condition of your electrics. The report will provide you with a clear explanation of the results, along with any recommended improvements that may be required to bring your installation up to a satisfactory standard.
